Technologically Challenged: A Stumbler’s Way Through Cyberspace
I just created this blog space. I have absolutely no idea how I did it and I’m not sure if it’s going to work. There are no pictures of me,* no great little links and some comment at the top says advertisements may appear on my blog after some time. Why? Who in the world wants to read something written by someone who has no idea what they’re doing?
I want, however, to become a literate individual. I have been slapped in the face with the reality of “literate” not being about my navigational skills around paper any longer. Soooooo…. it’s time to play, and bungle my way through… and challenge myself to see where I can be in a year.
Just setting up this page caused me distress in the fact that I had to retype 5 times the “code words” given, choose some “tags” when I don’t even know what they are, and assembled capsules (what’s that????).
I’m blind I tell you… blind! However, I am determined to stick my toe in the water and blog my progress every day for a year (if I can find my way back to this site once I click out of it.)So…. to my brilliant techno geek boss Jaime and to Will Richardson whose words inspire me to move forward, this page is for you!
*(Originally I posted this on Hub Pages. Sean Nash, cyber demi-god, helped me to open this site as one geared to my colleagues.)

Deb–this is awesome work.
I cannot tell you how proud of you I am to have you as a colleague. Stepping out in this landscape is scary. It is frustrating at times…
…and then again, it is also some of the most rewarding work you will do.
Keep persisting.
You’re off to a great start. Best of luck!
I will love watching you blog your way thru the year. You let your light shine through!! Brenda
Will has a way of inspiring folks to look at doing things differently, doesn’t he? That is exactly why he’ll be with us three times this year as we kick off a rather purposeful and systemwide look at our practice from about 50,000 feet.
I can’t tell you how happy I was to see this first post drop the very evening of that first session.
Sisco, what are you doing to me? I thought we were the two “old wise ones” that would adopt in a steady and reserved fashion. But no, there you are doing it without a net.
I guess this means you are not waiting on me, and I am going to have to eat your dust,or get with the game plan.
P.S. Loved the post – very Ms Seeeeeesco!
Little late to this party, but “Welcome to the Blogosphere!” Many happy returns!
